so, what's new on this Oxford dj's project ?

I like this project !

Nothing in the last couple of weeks I'm afraid... been sorting the le patio / le jardin et le garage avec Shamus... as soon as I get le grass down it will be back to the scoot.

Next stage is to get the panels welded with some louvres, but I havnt been able to get the louvres from work yet... get the panels welded onto the frame and then see about hinging the loop... Nobby will be doing le welding.

I havnt been in the garage for a long time Geoff, getting behind schedule. I have been making some artwork for it though....









They are to be Vinyl stickers, the magenta keyline shows where they will be cut out.

I have a sticker to make for the toolbox door next that will say...

Putting it back to original.

Got back into the garage last nite .... firstly to tidy it up after 5 months of laziness.
Secondly to dig out the panels I want to use on the project that I've had hold of for a while but done nothing with.

Gave them a little clean up and applied a load of paint stripper to them ... I may end up blasting them as my patience and spare time is low at the moment.



They were picked up from mates, I think the kickstart side one was Sacha's at one point. This will need the most welding work doing to tidy up, the maghousing side is not too bad but the big cutout will need repairing and tidying up. Nobby will be doing the welding and weaving his magic.



The plan is to have these welded to the frame and carb air intake louvres incorporated into the panels.

Looking forward to cracking on again tonite with it.

Paint stripped, heat-gunned and flat sanded last nite...



What a pain in the arse but at least its done. Now over to Nobby for the magic...

Will try and get a pic of the locker door louvres I'm trying to pinch from work to use, although Nobby does have an electrical box lid to use.

And Steve Pav has given me a sports mudguard that I'm hoping to replicate in metal from some trailer mudguards I have in the garage.



Also been messing about doing a bit more artwork for it...
