| This is the base for my project. Jet 200 frame. X-Reg. 1982 I think. Gonna be a bit of an 80s style UK cutdown with 2012 twist, hinged loop I think. Excuse the drawing, courtesy of Stella Artois. Have plenty of bits sat around in the garage, so hopefully we'll see what happens. Got to work out what to do wi the motor yet though. 225cc Iron barrel I think. | |

| Right, I have to admit to a bit of cheating. I am now in possession of a 7 week old daughter, called Tamla, so the time I have to spend building scooters has been drastically cut short. I want to enter the build-off to give me a goal for June 2012 rally... but I have to admit that I had already started working on the scoot before the baby arrived, also before the build-off deadline. If this makes me ineligible for the build-off then that is fine... but I will be hoping to attend the rally on the scoot anyway. It is also likely that I may break the £500 budget also making me ineligible for it. Either way we will all have fun building the scoots. Got from a friend a little while back, with the intention of doing this to it... Jet frame, Shortened headstock to suit Vega leggies, S2 forks for better headset clamping. But after seeing a coupla 'oldies' threads, fancy doing a GP 80s stylee cutdown now. Had some GP legshields in the garage for some 20 years that I was always gonna use on something, so i started paint stripping them, and found this underneath. Anyone recognise them? Couldnt be ersed to keep the murals so stripped em down 1st stage Jet frame, shortened headstock, S2 forks, GP Headset 2nd stage Motor from my S1 thrown in just to mock up height Links and disc brake into forks GSC TBC... | |

| Cleaned up legshields and horncast. I do enjoy a good flap-wheeling. Toolbox cut and shut by a mate Offered up Template made of legshield shape. Id use protection when getting oats. Toolbox shaped to suit and offered up. I knew that radiator hanger would come in handy one day, need to get a coupla brackets inside to hold to legshields. Little bit of final fitting and try it with some toolbox beading. Was thinking about Snetterton/air scoop combo for the 80s look but stood back to have a look and thought of this... Mmmmmm. Wish the seat pod was made of polished Ally. :? GSC TBC. | |

| Havnt touched the scoot for a while but here's a bit of progress, changed from offset master cylinder i.e. Scoot RS style light switch housing to an inline MB style to accommodate an old skool Yamaha master cylinder that was sat in a box of bits I got from Bones. Not too sure why the master cylinder has to mount with studs and nuts but hey ho, seems a bit naff design light housing to me. Anyway... Not too sure about the ebay QA throttle I bought though, dont seem very robust... If anyone has a nice old skool style QA to suit 7/8 bars that they want shot of I like to hear from them. Routed the hydraulic hose back thru the light switch housing To the more observant amongst us, they are not disc-link locating washers in place, so no points for guessing. My mate Soosh on here also gave me a covered seatbase which works a treat with the scoot, its kinda Snetter-lotti, which is nice, but batteries ran out of me camera. GSC - TBC. | |

. Hey Paul that's ok mate, the Challenge rules say "do with the crap you get in your garage", I think we all can consider that is the crap you had in your garage so no problem for me, the goal is to build a scooter and have fun, this is what you are doing, what Javier and everybody here is doing !!!! | |
